Role: Data Analytics & BI DeveloperLocation: Whippany, NJType: ContractJob Description This role will enable data-driven strategic and operational decision making through extracting actionable insights from large datasets, performing statistical and advanced analytics to uncover trends and patterns, and presenting findings through clear visualizations and reports.AccountabilitiesInvestigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, documenting data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement.Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing. Advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and processimprovements, leveraging machine learning/Al.Through data-driven analysis, translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations, identifying opportunities for operational and process improvements.Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs.Purpose of the RoleTo advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions.Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomesConsult on complex issues, providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requiresunderstanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organization sub-function.Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practices (in other areas, teams, companies, etc.,) to solve problems creatively and effectively.Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.Required Experience & CapabilitiesExpert-level SQL - analytical queries, query optimization, complex transformations, performance tuningIntellectual curiosity that helps to gain a broad understanding of business data requirementsTranslate data into actionable insights for CX and MarketingCross calibration across teamsStrong understanding of business data requirements and KPIsStakeholder collaboration with analytics, BI, and product teamsDocumentation of business rules, data definitions, and assumptionsUnderstanding of data lifecycle, data ownership, and stewardshipWorking knowledge of Adobe suite of reporting tools.Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to inform product decisions.Preferred / Desirable QualificationsExperience with workflow platforms, business rules engines, and complex orchestration across systemsWorking knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools i.e., Tableau, etc.Demonstrated capability in risk management, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital technology
