Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Position: Speech Language Pathology Assistant (2 available positions)Work Schedule: Full-time, 10-month per year (Mid August - Mid June)Start Date: August 17, 2026Pay: $27.00 - 36.00/hour dependent on qualifications and based on the Non-Affiliated HandbookBenefits: Medical, Dental, Life and other benefits in accordance with the Non-Affiliated Summary of BenefitsRequired QualificationsAssociate's degree from a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program OR a Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Hearing Sciences plus a SLPA certificate.Ability to be licensed through the MN Department of Health as an SLPA.Ability to travel between school sites.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesAbility to work cooperatively with students and staff in a school setting.Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong organizational and technology/computer skills.Ability to successfully interact with students, families, staff, and community members.Ability to work in stressful situations and effectively handle conflict.ResponsibilitiesWork under the direction and clinical supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).Provide direct speech/language intervention to students in individual and small group settings in alignment with IEP goals and objectives.Deliver indirect/consultative services to support carryover of communication skills into the general education classroom.Adapt school and classroom environments, tools, and instructional materials in collaboration with the supervising SLP.Develop lesson plans, prepare therapy materials, and create visuals to support speech/language services.Assist with articulation screenings, including scheduling and conducting sessions under SLP supervision.Maintain timely and accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.Provide input for progress reports and annual IEP Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) for SLP review.Collect and organize data related to student performance and goal progress.Ensure services are delivered in accordance with student IEPs, district policies, and state/federal special education regulations.Meet regularly with supervising SLP to coordinate services, review student data, and plan interventions.Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administrators.Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families as directed by the supervising SLP.Participate in team meetings and professional development as assigned.Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and district policies.Accept feedback from supervising SLP and administration while maintaining professional relationships.Travel between district buildings during the duty day, as assigned.Perform other related duties as assigned.
