The primary functions of this position include:Conducting field inspections of structures and materials to identify and resolve code violationsInvestigating and responding to complaints from the public, staff, and other agencies regarding potential violationsDocumenting findings and preparing detailed reports and evidence, including materials used in legal proceedingsReviewing Inspector I caseloads and training new inspectors to maintain consistency and accuracy across the teamServing as backup for the Code Compliance Supervisor and providing technical guidance on code interpretation and complianceFor a full list of duties, please review the job description.This is a full-time, non-exempt position. In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements:High school diploma or equivalent (GED)3-4 years of experience in code enforcement or law enforcement, with an emphasis on public contactValid Arizona driver's licenseICC/AACE Zoning Inspector CertificationAny equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the necessary knowledge and abilities to perform the workThis position requires a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.This position has been designated as a Medium work position that spends a majority of their workday in a field/outdoor environment.
