Business Analyst – Middle Office Allocation PlatformLocation: Midtown Manhattan, NY (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)Job Type: Long-Term ContractAbout the RoleSesheng Company is looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst on behalf of their client with a strong background in FIX messaging and Middle Office trade allocation workflows . This long-term contract position plays a crucial role in a global capital markets initiative, focusing on enhancing post-trade processing for Equities and Fixed Income . The ideal candidate will have practical experience with electronic trading protocols and a deep understanding of allocation logic across various asset classes.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Business Analyst, you will:Collaborate with Technology, Operations, and Front Office teams to gather and document business requirements for trade flow and allocation processes.Conduct end-to-end analysis of trade lifecycle events, with a focus on integrating and validating FIX messages from order execution through allocation and confirmation.Document current and target state workflows for allocation platforms, identifying gaps and ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory standards.Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) , including writing test cases, coordinating testing efforts, and managing defect resolution.Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the timely delivery and accurate implementation of allocation logic and trade flow automation.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should have:Strong expertise in FIX protocol , including message formats, allocation workflows (35=J, AK, P), and trade lifecycle integration.A solid understanding of Middle Office operations , including block/allocations, confirmations, and post-trade processing for Equities and Fixed Income.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Confluence.Excellent communication and documentation skills , with the ability to effectively collaborate across diverse business and technology teams.Sesheng Company is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
