Schedule is 4 days per week with one fixed week day off. Call is 1 in 3 days on average (122/year) with approx 18 weekends per year. Fully staffed hospitalist program. Surgical time in operating suite split between general surgery cases and endoscopy. Operative procedures include upper and lower GI endoscopy, open cases, and basic and advanced laparoscopic cases. Hospital has no GI physicians - all GI endoscopy is performed by general surgeons 50% to 70% of caseload.
