Safety Technican
Insight Global is looking to hire a Safety Technician for one of our largest manufacturing clients in Elgin, IL. You will support the facilities health and safety program by conducting inspections, identifying hazards, assisting with incident prevention, and helping ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and internal policies. The role is typically hands-on, field-based, and focused on monitoring day-to-day safety practices.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct workplace safety inspections to identify hazards, verify safeguards (guards, signage, exits), and support risk assessments (JSAs).- Support regulatory compliance (OSHA/local), maintaining permits, certifications, and safety documentation (SDS, training records, audits).- Assist with incident reporting and investigations, including documenting findings, supporting root cause analysis, and tracking corrective actions.- Promote safety training and communication by helping onboard new hires, delivering toolbox talks, and reinforcing safe work practices.- Manage and monitor PPE and safety equipment, including proper usage, inventory tracking, and inspection of emergency equipment (eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, etc.).We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
