El Segundo Blvd Ste 110, El Segundo, CA 902453285 Skypark Dr, Torrance, CA 905051360 W 6th St., Ste 325 North Building, San Pedro, CA 90732Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (8:00am - 5:00PM)Job Duration: 13+ Weeks (With potential to convert into FTE or high possibility of extension)Pay Range: $20/hr to $24/hrRequired Qualifications:Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries2 years working as an MAProficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncturePreferred Qualifications:2+ years working as an MA in an outpatient surgical centerExperience with CS-Link/EpicExperience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissionsPhlebotomy certificationUnderstanding of medical terminologyExperience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plansJob Duties:Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds, and record in the medical recordAssist with tracking and monitoring department-specific dataExplain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practiceSet up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needsClean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelinesAdminister immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by the providerDraw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by the providerExperience with removing sutures
