Job Title : Electro-Mechanical Assembler (1st Shift)Location: Boonton, NJ 07005Pay Rate: $17.00 – $18.25/hrSpecial Compensation Note: Effective immediately, all new starts receive a 30% pay increase to their base rate to cover the client compensation package while on contract.Note: This 30% increase is removed upon conversion to a permanent employee, at which point the individual gains full benefits, including PTO and Holiday pay.Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)Overtime: Required as needed.Job OverviewHubbell is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembler for our Boonton facility. This role involves complex and diversified assembly of products requiring close tolerances and intricate fitting. You will work within an ISO-certified environment, utilizing blueprints and SAP-driven schedules to build, wire, and align high-precision units and sub-assemblies.Key ResponsibilitiesComplex Assembly: Perform intricate fitting, adjusting, and aligning of a large number of parts to complete sophisticated products or harness assemblies.Technical Interpretation: Read and follow complex blueprints, schematics, model prints, and work instructions to ensure accurate wiring and mechanical placement.Machine Operation: Set up and operate production machinery, including component engravers, presses, crimpers, riveting, and encapsulation machines.Tool Proficiency: Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to complete mechanical and electrical tasks, potentially including thru-hole PCB assembly.Digital Integration: Use computers to monitor job status, check component availability, open digital prints/instructions, and input data into Excel or SAP databases.Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all PPE requirements and perform "5S" steps to maintain a hazard-free and efficient workspace.Departmental Flexibility: Willingness to perform operations across different departments and product lines as dictated by production needs.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: 1–3 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
