We help companies train, analyze, and monetize data without moving or exposing raw data using edge computing, cryptographic verification, and decentralized AI workflows.We work at the intersection of backend systems, data engineering, ML pipelines, and deployment infrastructure, and we’re looking for engineers who want to grow into that space while shipping real software used by real customers.The RoleWe’re hiring a junior-to-mid-career Backend Engineer with a strong foundation in Python or systems-level programming and a genuine interest in deployment, DevOps workflows, and production systems.You’ll work closely with a small, senior team on:Core backend servicesData and ML processing pipelinesContainerized deploymentsClient-facing B2B implementationsThis is a hands-on role with meaningful ownership and exposure to real customer problems.What You’ll DoDesign and implement backend services in Python, Rust, or similar low-level languagesBuild and maintain data processing and ML pipelinesDevelop and deploy containerized applications using DockerWork with SQL (Postgres or equivalent) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) databasesSupport B2B client implementations, including requirement assessment and customizationCollaborate closely with product, operations, and leadership in a remote-first, small-team environmentImprove reliability, observability, and deployment workflows as the platform scalesRequired QualificationsProficiency in Python or Rust (or another systems-oriented language)Experience with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases, and/or MongoDBFamiliarity with common ML and data science libraries, such as:NumPyPandas or PolarsScikit-LearnOpenCV (or similar)Experience building and deploying applications using Docker or container technologiesExposure to B2B software development, including working with real client requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working on a small, remote team with direct ownership and responsibilityNice to HaveExperience with implementation-heavy client engagementsAbility to turn bespoke client solutions into reusable frameworks or internal toolsBackground in cryptography-adjacent or security-minded systemsExperience with AWS, especially:ECS / EKSS3RDSExposure to embedded or edge computing, including ARM or RISC-VWhy DatasentWork on hard, meaningful problems in privacy-preserving data and AIReal ownership and impact—your code will ship and be usedLearn from senior engineers and founders with deep systems experienceFlexible, remote-first culture focused on trust and executionOpportunity to grow into senior backend, platform, or systems roles
