Director, IT Agency Management Platform

Director, IT Independent Marketing Organization/Agency Management PlatformAmeriLife is seeking a strategic Director, IT Independent Marketing Organization (IMO) or Agency Management System (AMS) Experience Platform to own the enterprise vision, delivery, and operational success of its IMO or AMS digital experience ecosystem. This platform serves as the primary system of daily work for employees within the IMOs of the Wealth business, facilitating key information capture, presentation, and workflows with multiple integrations across multiple backend systems. The platform is delivered as a vendor-managed SaaS solution (OneHQ), with all development, configuration, and operational support initially performed by the OneHQ product vendor and a cross-functional team of AmeriLife resources. As such, this role is accountable for outcomes, governance, and platform performance. This position will initially operate as a senior individual contributor with enterprise-wide ownership and accountability. While there may be limited direct people management at the outset, the role requires strong leadership capability, deep technical expertise, and the ability to scale into a people-leader role as platform scope and organizational needs expand. Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the enterprise platform owner for the IMO/AMS Experience Platform, defining vision, roadmap, success metrics, and operating model. Align platform capabilities with Wealth business strategy, affiliate and employee productivity goals, and enterprise digital transformation initiatives. Own prioritization of enhancements, integrations, and experience improvements in partnership with business and technology stakeholders. Oversee all platform development, configuration, testing, and release delivery performed by the vendor. Oversee all integration or external OneHQ system development, configuration, testing, and release delivery performed by non-OneHQ resources. Act as the primary design and delivery authority, validating solution approaches, release scope, and quality outcomes. Ensure vendor delivery aligns with enterprise architecture, security standards, data governance, and compliance expectations. Drive disciplined SDLC execution, release readiness, and change-management practices. Provide enterprise-level technical leadership for the platform despite a vendor-delivered execution model for work inside of the OneHQ SaaS system. Partner with Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Operations, Affiliates and downstream system owners to design and govern integrations with CRM, data platforms, identity management, compliance tools, and reporting systems. Ensure platform scalability, performance, and reliability as usage and business complexity grow. Own platform availability, stability, and operational health. Define and enforce SLAs, KPIs, monitoring, and escalation procedures with the OneHQ vendor. Lead incident management activities, root-cause analysis, and continuous-improvement initiatives to prevent recurrence. Ensure production issues are resolved efficiently and transparently with minimal user impact. Ensure administration and configuration continued effective alignment toward enterprise expected configuration. Serve as the primary relationship owner for OneHQ and any related third-party partners. Manage contracts, renewals, roadmap alignment, and performance governance. Hold vendors and internal partners accountable for delivery quality, responsiveness, documentation, and business value realization. Coordinate escalations and executive-level communications as needed. Initially operate as a Director-level individual contributor with enterprise ownership. Establish governance frameworks, operating procedures, and documentation that support scalability. Prepare to build, mentor, and lead an internal team as platform ownership and capabilities expand. Communicate clearly with senior leadership regarding roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and value outcomes. Required Qualifications10+ years of progressive IT experience with a strong background in enterprise application development or platform ownership. 5+ years of leadership experience managing or owning enterprise platforms, ideally in vendor-led delivery models. Proven ability to succeed as a hands-on, Director-level individual contributor. Strong experience with: enterprise SaaS platforms and systems of engagement, API-based integrations and data orchestration, SDLC, Agile delivery, and release management, production support, incident management, and SLA governance. Demonstrated success managing strategic vendors and complex stakeholder relationships. Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and executive-level presentation skills. Preferred QualificationsExperience with OneHQ or similar IMO/AMS experience platforms. Background in Wealth Management, Insurance, or Financial Services. Experience owning advisor portals, CRM experience layers, digital hubs, or agent platforms. Strong understanding of compliance, identity, data privacy, and regulatory considerations. Ability to influence across matrixed organizations without direct authority.
