DevOps Engineer

*Important Information*Salary Range: 80/hr. on C2C OR $70/hr. on W212 MONTHS CONTRACTOnsite position with the possibility of switching to hybrid (3 days a week in the office). Required to live in Austin.DescriptionWe are looking for a world-class DevOps Engineer who is passionate about operational excellence through automation and engineering processes. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of development and operations processes, to deliver best in class and highly available systems.You will work with the application development teams to understand infrastructure requirements, while promoting efficiency, scalability, security, and reliability throughout the software lifecycle. Your expertise in cloud platforms, automation, and infrastructure management will be crucial to the success of our projects.Your responsibilities will include:Designing engineering platforms and tooling that simplify the process of building, deploying, and operating applications.Developing automation for common development and operational tasks.Monitoring system performance and availability and remediating as necessary.Collaborating with software and data engineering team on finding operationally sustainable solutions to engineering problemsMinimum Qualifications5+ years in operational roles (Cloud Operations, Site Reliability, DevOps, etc...)Experience with GitOps-based deployments, enabling CI/CD with Jenkins, ArgoCD or similar systems.Proficiency with logging and observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk or similarProficiency with designing and operating applications in a public cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc...)Expertise in operating and integrating with AWS services such as RDS, EKS, CloudWatch, etc...Expertise with containerization technologies such as DockerExpertise with container orchestration such Kubernetes and Helm.Expertise in configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform).Expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting Linux-based systemsContinuously work with the engineering teams to improve reliability, -Implementing actionable monitoring frameworkAnalytical & problem-solving skills, ability to communicate ideas clearly.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a strong focus on teamwork. Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent in Engineering 10+ years in operational roles (Cloud Operations, Site Reliability, DevOps, etc...)1+ years in Software Engineering roles or equivalent software architecture rolesExperience with preparing and executing PCI, SOC2, SOX, or other compliance audits
