Title: Quality EngineerResponsible Manager: Quality ManagerLocation: Pflugerville, TX(Hybrid)We, EOS - world market leader for industrial 3D printing, are looking for you to support our Quality Team in Pflugerville, TX. The Quality Engineer for North America will be responsible for developing and implementing required quality processes and procedures with the operating and technical staff. This position will serve as the key focal point for our customers, suppliers, and global corporate entity for quality management issues. The Quality Engineer will lead the effort to maintain ISO certification at all North American locations.Your Mission• Develop and validate quality processes and procedures in conjunction with operations and production staff including defining product specifications and training employees• Lead the evaluation, disposition, and resolution of nonconforming inventory and field returns, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, participation in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, supplier engagement, and continuous improvement activities.• Perform installation qualification documentation in support of the service team.• Support incoming inspection and verification activities, including evaluation, inspection, testing, and acceptance of materials and components to ensure compliance with engineering, quality, and customer requirements.• Maintain and improve product quality by completing quality audits on products, suppliers, company processes and quality systems• Collaborating with other members of management to develop new product specifications and manufacturing and training methods• Responsible to integrate quality functions into new or existing business functions• Act as the key contact for customers’ auditors and be responsible for ensuring execution of corrective actions and ongoing compliance with customers’ specifications• Support establishment of reasonable standards of service for customers• Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 quality certifications at all North American locations• Perform internal audits to assess company compliance and readiness for external audits• Work with department managers and subject matter experts to create, update and maintain ISO work instructions• Assess local suppliers’ product specifications and quality plans• Develop and implement supplier quality performance criteria and monitoring systems.• Ensure compliance with national and international standards• Work with German parent company to ensure product quality issues are reported and resolved through the CAQ quality systemYour Talents• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent experience in manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or additive manufacturing will also be considered.• Min. 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, additive manufacturing, or a related technical field. Experience with powder-bed technologies is preferred.• Practical experience in knowledge of quality assurance and testing methods.• Experienced in quality management systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, NADCAP, or similar industry standards.• Experience with root cause analysis, 8D problem solving, FMEA, and PFMEA methodology.• Expert knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), blueprint reading, and dimensional metrology, with the ability to evaluate conformance of machined and manufactured components.• Fluent written and spoken English language skills.• Willingness to travel for business purposes.Our VisionOver 1000 sharp minds, about 60 nationalities, one goal: accelerating the world’s transition to Responsible Manufacturing.Our proven technology, industrial 3D printing, has been extending the boundaries of manufacturing for over 30 years.
