Job Title: Python Developer (Junior and Mid-level)Location: RemoteAbout The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our team and work on government projects. The ideal candidate will have experience developing robust, scalable applications in a secure and highly regulated environment. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing efficient algorithms, and implementing solutions that adhere to federal compliance and security standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test, and maintain Python-based applications for federal projects.Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and other team members to gather requirements and deliver quality solutions.Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.Design and optimize algorithms to solve complex problems.Ensure application security and compliance with federal regulations (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP).Integrate Python applications with third-party systems and APIs.Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.Work with DevOps teams to deploy applications using CI/CD pipelines.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.4 - 12 years of experience in Python development.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and Python libraries.Experience working on federal government projects or with agencies. Desirable, but not mandatoryKnowledge of federal compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST frameworks). Desirable, but not mandatoryProficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.U.S. Citizenship is required Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in public sector projects or government contracting.Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for full-stack development.Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.Security certifications like CISSP, Security+, or similar.
