This role is designed for a candidate who thrives in an innovative educational environment, has strong collaboration skills, and partners with the BIL Dean to execute and enhance the lab’s programming. This is a 10-month fully benefited position reporting to the BIL Dean.PrimaryResponsibility:Focuses on technicalinfrastructure, "making" initiatives, engineering curriculum, and thephysical administration of the facility—leveraging expertise in engineering andtechnology to support all BIL activities.SharedStrategic Input (provide Collaborative Input To BIL Dean)Strategic Vision &AlignmentMaintain commitment to the mission andphilosophy of the School and match all programs to annual PSC goals and to theSchool’s strategic plan.Administration & Budget: Assist in BIL supplies, capital budget, and overall organization.Calendar & Communications: Manage BIL calendar. Lead internal and external communications (e.g.,liaising with the press as requested, assisting with Advancement team members )to build the Lab's reputation for excellence.Governance & Engagement: Serve on / attend relevant school committees (e.g., the ProgramCommittee (Academic Technology) and report to the Board as requested).SpecializedAccountabilityEngineering & TechnologyInitiatives○Serve as the primary resource forengineering, fabrication, and maker space initiatives.○Co-develop and support anInnovator in Residence program.○Develop annual programs unique tothe Bryan Lab that focus on engineering and technology-based design/making.○Teach Junior SeminarProgram Support○Co-develop and co-execute theannual Visiting Innovator series.○Collaborate in the design andexecution of the BIL Week summer institute.Operations & Supervision: Facilitate class transitions to and from the Lab and superviseindependent student creators as needed.Qualificationsand Experience:Bachelor’s degree required.Experience in an educationalsetting is strongly preferred.A successful candidate will bestrong with technology.An understanding of both Systems and Design Thinking.Have an appreciation for the artsand the outdoors.Compensationand Benefits: Commensurate with experience andeducation.Comprehensive benefits packageavailable.Interested candidates should update their resume andcover letter as part of the online employment application.
