Claims Assistant

Job Summary: This position entails providing customer service and support to the Claims Organization. Job Duties & Essential Functions: Demonstrates ethical behavior and carries out responsibilities in alignment with client's core values, ethics, and information protection policies. Offers support for claims and litigation matters to the Claims Organization and its special handling units. Delivers customer service to various internal and external business partners. Conducts research and inputs data using relevant claim systems. Acts as a liaison with other business support units to assist with customer claim-related requests. Completes assigned tasks, projects, and training. Provides cross-functional team support when necessary, including executing the business unit catastrophe plan. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based programs. Experience with network folders/drives for document compilation. Familiarity with imaging-related applications. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Organization and coordination skills for prioritizing assignments. Capability to work independently and efficiently. Prior Work Experience (Required): 1 year or more of experience in customer service, insurance-related, clerical, or administrative roles. Education: High School Diploma or GED (required) Preferred Education: Associate degree Two or more years of experience in customer service, insurance-related, clerical, or administrative roles.
