This role has full accountability for site operations, including safety, compliance, production performance, and O&M and capital budget execution.The position oversees multiple sites and provides strategic direction to Site Managers, and field teams. The Regional Operations Manager manages compliance to O&M contractual requirements. The Regional Operations Manager partners closely with Asset Management, Engineering, Performance, Health and Safety (HSSE), and Commercial teams to ensure assets deliver strong financial returns while maintaining high safety and operational standards.This role also serves as a key representative of TerraForm Power with external stakeholders, including regulators, landowners, and local communities.Key Responsibilities Operational & Business LeadershipLead the overall operation and performance of multiple wind facilities within the region in support of TerraForm Power strategic objectives.Drive safety culture and performance.Provide strategic and day-to-day direction across sites, ensuring alignment with TERP operating standardsOversee outage planning, execution, and performance to maximize availability and reliabilityConduct regular site visits, operational reviews, safety observations, and performance assessmentsDrive continuous improvement initiatives, benchmarking performance across the fleetFinancial & P&L AccountabilityDevelop and execute to site O&M and capital budgets, including planning, forecasting, and executionEnsure assets meet or exceed production, availability, and financial targetsPartner with Asset Management and Finance to optimize asset value and return on investmentMonitor and manage cost structures, vendor performance, and contract complianceValidate and authorize expendituresSafety, Environmental & Regulatory ComplianceChampion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Security & Environmental policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including NERC requirements where applicableLead incident investigations and drive corrective actionsMaintain readiness for audits and regulatory reviewsPeople Leadership & Workforce PlanningLead and develop a team(s) of Site Managers, and field personnelOversee workforce planning, including staffing, training, development, and succession planningPartner with HR on performance management, engagement, and employee relationsSupport development of technical talent pipelines, including partnerships with local schools and training programsFoster a culture aligned with TERP’s ownership mentality and Ways of WorkingStakeholder & Community EngagementServe as a primary interface with landowners, local communities, regulators, and external partnersRepresent TERP in maintaining strong community and stakeholder relationshipsSupport permitting, compliance, and public-facing initiatives as neededContractor & Vendor ManagementOversee contractor performance and ensure alignment with safety, quality, and cost expectationsManage and execute service agreements, contracts, vendor relationships, P2P processesEnsure effective work management processes, including use of CMMS systemsCollaborate with project management team in execution of assigned projects QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related fieldMinimum 7+ years of experience in renewable energy, power generation, or industrial operationsExperience managing multiple sites or complex operational portfolios Direct experience in wind operations and maintenance (O&M)Working knowledge of OSHA requirementsStrong knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical systemsExperience with NERC-regulated assets and compliance frameworksFamiliarity with work computer based maintenance management systems (e.g., Maintainly, Maximo), contractor oversight, and capital project executionProven experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial performanceDemonstrated leadership of geographically dispersed teamsKey CompetenciesStrong operational leadership and execution disciplineOwnership mindset with full accountability for resultsFinancial and business acumen (P&L ownership)Safety-first culture and regulatory awarenessStakeholder management and communication skillsContinuous improvement and problem-solving mindsetWork Environment & Travel Regular travel required across assigned region (~30–50%)Combination of field-based and remote/office workRecruitment Agency NoticeTerraForm Power Human Resources team does not accept unsolicited resumes from third party recruiters, staffing firms, or related agencies.
