Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you'll do:TheSenior Manufacturing Engineer will focus on process improvements for the Capacitor and Network Protector product lines. Responsibilities will include day-to-day support of the manufacturing team as well as longer-term strategic planning and project management. The Manufacturing Engineer will be called upon to prioritize department opportunities, research and identify potential improvements, and manage the complex projects to implement changes.In this function, you will:Proactively identify opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Reduce CostProvide day-to-day support for the manufacturing team, including troubleshooting for assembly, material, tooling, or engineering concernsDevelop or purchase manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and toolingCreate and Improve manufacturing documentation, including operator method sheets (work instructions), standard work, and other instructionImplement Cost Reduction projectsManage capital spend projects for production equipmentParticipate with multi-functional product development teams to ensure the manufacturability of new designs through the ProLaunch processIdentify resource needs for the plant, assist in preparing budgets and major appropriation requestsQualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited university.Two (2) years of engineering experience in manufacturing.Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:Two years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably Electromechanical assemblyKnowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systemsExperience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology; plus experience with Kaizen and RIE EventsExperience implementing and driving TPM in a manufacturing environmentSix Sigma Green BeltProject management experienceExperience with SAP, MS Office including Visio, and AutoCADSkills:Additional Information:The position requires clear communication with the production team, other functional groups including engineering and front-end resources, and plant management.Will be called upon to lead training for other teams.Broad knowledge of problem-solving, LEAN, and quality toolsWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
