Position: Cognos BI Architect with ThoughtSpot & Visual SDKLocation: Chicago, IL - Onsite from Day 1Duration: Long-Term ContractJob Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cognos BI Architect with hands-on expertise in ThoughtSpot and Visual SDK to join a dynamic team working on enterprise-level business intelligence and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BI architecture, data visualization, and integrating modern BI platforms into scalable enterprise environments.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement robust BI architecture solutions using IBM Cognos BIWork closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutionsDevelop and optimize complex reports, dashboards, and data models in Cognos BIIntegrate and implement ThoughtSpot for advanced self-service analyticsLeverage ThoughtSpot Visual SDK to embed custom analytics into business applicationsCollaborate with data engineering and ETL teams to ensure seamless data flow and governanceProvide technical leadership and guidance to junior BI developers and analystsEnsure best practices for performance, scalability, and security in all BI solutionsRequired Skills & Qualifications:10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Cognos BI (Report Studio, Framework Manager, Transformer)Strong experience with ThoughtSpot, including implementation, modeling, and embedding analyticsHands-on experience with ThoughtSpot Visual SDK for custom embedding and API integrationProficiency in SQL and data modeling techniquesExperience with data warehouses, dimensional modeling, and ETL pipelinesExcellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred)Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience in cloud-based BI deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP)Knowledge of additional BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or LookerFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies
