We partner with clients, architects, interior designers, and landscape architects to create award-winning homes across a wide range of styles, all built with intention and care.As a Project Accountant, you play a critical role in supporting successful project delivery by owning accurate, timely client billing and maintaining clear, reliable project financial records. You'll work closely with Project Managers and the accounting team to provide financial clarity, identify issues early, and continuously improve project accounting processes.If you are detail-oriented, enjoy collaborating across teams, and value accuracy, transparency, and process improvement, we want to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesOwn the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely client invoices in close partnership with Project Managers, incorporating approved scope, change orders, estimate updates, and job cost informationReview job costs and billing inputs to ensure alignment with project scope, budget status, and progress prior to invoicingReview, enter, and process accounts payable invoices by verifying receipt and coding in Procore, matching invoices to check runs, and proactively resolving missing or incomplete informationActively review project financials to identify anomalies, emerging issues, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvementProvide accurate, well-organized financial information to management to support informed project and business decisionsMaintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready project accounting records in compliance with company, regulatory, and statutory requirementsPartner cross-functionally with Project Managers and accounting teammates to improve workflows, documentation standards, and systemsIdentify opportunities to adapt systems and processes to better support clients, subcontractors, vendors, and employeesContribute to a small, collaborative office team by supporting HR and marketing-related tasks as neededQualifications2+ years of experience in project accounting, construction accounting, or a closely related roleDemonstrated experience preparing client invoices tied to job costs, change orders, and project schedulesStrong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and anomaliesComfort partnering closely with Project Managers in a collaborative, team-based environmentFamiliarity with job cost reporting, WIP concepts, and project closeout processesExperience supporting AR processes and resolving client billing questionsHands-on experience with accounting and project management systems such as Sage 300 or Sage Intacct, Procore, and Microsoft tools (Outlook, SharePoint); ability to learn new systemsClear, professional written and verbal communication skillsExperience in residential or commercial construction, architecture, or design-build environments preferredDemonstrated interest in improving systems, workflows, and documentation--not just executing tasksSalary And BenefitsFull-time positionCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceMedicalDentalVisionLong- and Short-Term Disability insurancePaid Time Off in addition to holidays401(k) with profit sharing
