Chestnut Mountain Resort is located 8 miles from downtown Galena, IL. We are a year-round adventure destination with a variety of activities offering action-packed family friendly amenities. Chestnut was established in 1959 and has continued to be a staple for summer and winter activities. Our hours consist of off-road terrain with variable weather. The tours are 7 days a week, mornings, afternoon and evenings from May through October. The guide must be able to articulate well with guests and coworkers.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform daily safety checks on segways, trails, equipment, etc.Must be able to lift 75lbsWork outdoors in all types of weatherProvide exceptional one on one customer service in a safe, entertaining, informative tourAdditional ResponsibilitiesAll staff will be cross trained and help other areas of our outside activities.Knowledge and Skill PreferencesMust be 250lbs or less as that is the weight limit for our segways.Knowledge around the Galena areaHave prior experience speaking with the public, or have experience in customer service (example: Tour guide, teachers, lifeguard.)Working ConditionsHigh noise levels, must be able to lift 75+ Pounds, Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions for extended periods of time is required.Salary: $15.00
