Direct Care Relief Staff

Description About your Role: As a Direct Care Relief Staff, you will provide care, support and skills-training to individuals. Fostering positive relationships between caretakers and individuals served you will work to ensure client safety and maintaining a safe environment. Assisting clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training) and encouraging self-help activities. Performing home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning, you will help clients plan meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and clean-up. While following a structured support plan, you will accompany clients to scheduled appointments and in running errands if needed (approved drivers only.) All focused on supporting clients with social skills and integration into the community. Perks of this role: Competitive pay rate -$20.00/hour Does the following apply to you? High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED) A valid driver’s license with a good driving record Minimum of six (6) months of direct care experience Ability to work while standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling, reaching, stretching, twisting, crouching/kneeling and lifting Continuous use of hands/fingers and ability to lift up to 50lbs.
