This role involves direct clinical care, emergency response, and the management of student health records to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Care: Provide direct health care and first aid to students in the High School, Middle School, or Elementary buildings as assigned.Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments to students according to district policy and healthcare provider orders.Health Plan Implementation: Follow and implement established individual health plans (IHPs) and emergency care plans for students with chronic conditions (e.g., allergies, diabetes, seizures).Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including documenting office visits, treatments provided, and communications with parents/guardians.Emergency Response: Act as the first responder for medical emergencies on school grounds during the shift.Indirect Care: Support health office staff in other buildings as needed to ensure district-wide coverage and student safety.Qualifications & RequirementsPreferred Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the State of Minnesota. Non-licensed candidates will be considered.Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills with students, staff, and parents.Compliance: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations.Salary & BenefitsSalary: $26.66/hourThis is a temporary position and is not eligible for district benefits.
