Full Stack .NET Junior Developer

We are seeking a Junior Software Developer to join our development team and help support and enhance our SmartBill platform and related applications. This role will work closely with senior developers to maintain existing systems, contribute to new development projects, and help deliver reliable, scalable solutions for our clients.The ideal candidate is an early-career developer who has a strong foundation in modern programming practices, experience working with Microsoft technologies, and a curiosity for leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve development workflows and software capabilities.This position provides an excellent opportunity to grow within a collaborative development environment while contributing to meaningful projects that impact our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Development & MaintenanceMaintain and enhance existing applications running on local and cloud environmentsAssist in the development and deployment of new features and applications within the SmartBill platformWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established development standardsParticipate in code reviews and testing to ensure software qualityWork with internal teams, clients, and vendors to clarify and implement technical requirementsSupport troubleshooting and debugging of application and system issuesAssist internal staff with technical questions and platform-related support when neededData & System ManagementSupport database-related tasks including queries, data updates, and data integrity managementAssist with data archiving and cleanup processes based on client specificationsMonitor application performance and identify opportunities for improvementAI & Emerging TechnologiesUtilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code qualityExplore opportunities to integrate AI capabilities into internal processes or platform featuresStay informed on emerging technologies and contribute ideas for innovationRequirements1–3 years of experience in software development (professional experience, internships, or significant projects)Understanding of object-oriented programming principlesFamiliarity with relational database design and SQL queriesExperience using source control tools such as GitExperience using AI development tools or frameworks (e.g., AI coding assistants or APIs)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsWillingness to learn new technologies and development practicesPreferred QualificationsExperience with ASP.NET, MVC, or WebFormsFamiliarity with Azure services and cloud computingExposure to REST APIs and web service integrationExperience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI APIs, or other AI-assisted development platformsExperience with modern web development frameworksPrevious experience working in a software development team environmentEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field1–3 years of experience in software development through professional roles, internships, or significant personal/academic projectsAbout the CompanyAt SmartBill, our mission is to provide the best possible experience for our clients in all aspects of their billing and payment needs.
