Tech Lead Engineer / Scientist in Battery Materials & Manufacturing R&DInternship also available (summer, autumn, spring)Company and PositionHiT Nano, Inc. is seeking talented battery materials, electrochemistry, and manufacturing engineers/scientists. Started as a spinout from Princeton University in 2018, we are developing high-performance, low-cost battery materials and sustainable, low-energy manufacturing processes for next-generation energy storage applications. The company is supported by federal and state grants, including SBIR awards and U.S. Department of Energy grants, as well as venture capital investment.The successful candidate will contribute to the development, testing, scale-up, and commercialization of advanced battery materials and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities may include materials synthesis, process optimization, electrochemical testing, materials characterization, data analysis, equipment development, application engineering, and technical program and product management.Desired Qualifications• M.S. or Ph.D. in materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, ceramics, physics, or a related field• Strong experimental and analytical skills, especially in battery materials, materials synthesis, electrochemical testing, or manufacturing process development• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team and external partners• Strong written and verbal communication skills and project management skills
