ApplyJob TypeFull-timeDescriptionPosition Scope:Drives tractor-trailer rated at least 50 tons capacity to deliver and pick up machines at customer job sites and Stowers locations. Loads and unloads heavy equipment and machinery while ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Ability to drive a standard transmission vehicleKnowledge of DOT regulations and safe hauling practicesAbility to secure loads with chains and binders and perform periodic checksSound judgment for safe driving in adverse weather and challenging conditionsBasic mechanical skills for emergency repairs (e.g., tire changes, installing chains)Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team membersPreferred Qualification(s):* Experience instructing customers on equipment usage and maintenance* Familiarity with heavy equipment types and handling proceduresEducation Requirements:* High school diploma or GED requiredEssential Job Functions:Drive tractor-trailer to deliver and pick up machines at customer job sites and Stowers locationsLoad and unload heavy equipment and machineryMaintain current licenses and health card necessary to legally transport equipmentInspect tractor-trailer and related equipment for operational safety and reliabilityComplete shipping and receiving documents for Stowers and customer recordsSecure all loads with chains and binders; check periodically during transportPerform emergency repairs as neededInstruct customers on proper usage and maintenance of delivered equipmentFollow all Company and customer safety rules and maintain a clean, orderly work areaRespond to customer requests professionally and promptlyAttend meetings, training, and activities as requiredPerform other duties as assignedLeadership Responsibilities:* None; individual contributor rolePreferred Experience and Skills:Three years of driving experience hauling heavy equipmentValid CDL driver's license (or ability to obtain one)Dependability and punctualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPositive attitude and strong integrityPhysical and Mental Requirements:Pass pre-employment background check, physical exam, and drug screenAbility to lift 20-75 pounds occasionallyAbility to wear required PPE (glasses, gloves, protective clothing, footwear)Ability to work under occasional pressure and meet deadlinesAbility to communicate effectively, verbally and in writingWork Environment:Standard five-day schedule with daily overtime and occasional weekendsExposure to outdoor conditions, including adverse weatherMaintain a clean, safe working environmentFrequent travel to customer job sites and Stowers locationsMost work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but exposure to site conditions may also occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn in areas as required.
