The full pay range is $135,100.00 - $250,600.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. You'll lead a high-performing C&I lending team while building meaningful relationships that help business members grow and thrive. Your leadership will influence how we connect, serve, and deliver value—bringing together strategy, service, and innovation to elevate the entire Business Services organization. By fostering strong partnerships internally and externally, you'll ensure that every interaction reflects BECU's commitment to excellence, community, and member success.Travel and locationThis role requires some travel for meetings and events. If you live in Washington state within a reasonable driving distance to Tukwila Headquarters (TFC), you are encouraged to come into the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. For candidates outside commuting distance in approved remote locations, this role will be primarily remote. We are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.What You'll DoLead and Inspire Team Performance: Guide your team to achieve exceptional results in growing business member relationships while delivering outstanding service, engagement, and relationship management.Drive Business Development: Build and manage a strong pipeline through referral networks, consistent prospecting, and meaningful follow-ups that convert opportunities into lasting relationships.Oversee Relationship Management Excellence: Lead efforts across business development, member engagement, credit selection, loan structuring, and portfolio risk management to ensure balanced, strategic growth.Manage and Optimize the Portfolio: Build and oversee a business banking portfolio that delivers strong returns while maintaining operational excellence and policy adherence.Coach and Develop Talent: Invest in your team's success through coaching, mentoring, and feedback to help individuals grow and reach their potential.Maximize Member Value: Champion cross-selling and referrals by connecting members with the right products and services.Ensure Credit Quality and Risk Management: Maintain a high-quality loan portfolio with sound credit decisions and proactive monitoring.Contribute to Strategic Planning: Shape annual business plans to align with BECU's broader goals (membership growth, loans, deposits, non-interest income).Strengthen Partner Ecosystems: Build relationships with partners across payroll, merchant services, treasury management, and investments.Stay Ahead of Industry Knowledge: Maintain expertise in regulatory compliance, credit policies, financial principles, and business banking products.What you'll gain from joining the team includes strategic leadership opportunities, meaningful impact, collaborative environment, professional growth, and relationship-driven work.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent experience.3 years of people-leader experience with business banking relationship/sales teams.5 years of commercial credit and relationship management experience in small business to mid-sized commercial banking environments.Desired Qualifications:Advanced degree.Effective leadership, team building, coaching and personnel development skills.Excellent sales and business development skills with ability to achieve team goals.Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with understanding of product profitability and pricing analysis.Join The JourneyReady to make an indelible impact?
