CAMC serves as a regional referral hub for complex pediatric care, providing pulmonology services in a rural setting for children with all forms of lung disease, many of whom are underserved. Faculty in the Department of Pediatrics educate and mentor residents in an environment characterized by familiarity and collegiality. Research development is fostered in an atmosphere free of excessive academic pressure with full access to statistical support through the Institute of Academic Medicine.
