Lab Operator

POSITION PURPOSE Supports Production and Shipping departments, by performing Quality functions of industry specifications that allow SSAB produced material to be supplied to our customers without quality issues. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Safely operate testing equipment (Tensile, Charpy, Bend) Safely operate machining equipment (CNC Machine Centers) Safely operate sample preparation equipment Maintain a clean and safe work area QUALIFICATIONS Competencies and Experience Required Detail Oriented (Accuracy) Computer literate (Basic operation and/or troubleshooting). Ability to work well with other team members Ability to maintain Safe Work area Ability to perform Preventive maintenance on equipment Attention to detail (Accuracy) Ability to perform multiple task simultaneously Perform tasks with minimal supervision Maintain good attendance record Preferred Experience in the operation of CNC Machining equipment Ability to interpret industry specifications (ASTM/EN/API/ABS/CSA) Education Required High School diploma or equivalent SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES / DIRECT REPORTS This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
