Program Safety Advisor

Overview Join Southern California Edison to lead the Management of Change within the Safety Management System. In this role you will ensure changes affecting worker safety are thoroughly evaluated, planned, approved, communicated, and controlled before execution. You’ll partner with Safety leaders, subject matter experts, and OU leaders to drive MoC compliance and contribute to safety culture transformation. This position supports injury reduction and a cleaner energy future as part of a mission-driven utility. ResponsibilitiesContribute to enterprise-wide safety programs and initiatives aligned with Edison Safety objectivesEvaluate safety culture, SMS practices, and strategies, and communicate findings to partnersCollaborate to define project objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, deliverables and budgetsDevelop safety programs, policies and procedures after management consultation; determine methods with broad impactAssist team on methods and procedures for new or special assignmentsWork with OU leadership to influence major initiatives and implement strategic projectsDevelop and present materials/reports to local leadershipConduct training and presentations related to safety projects and programsProvide guidance on work activities to colleaguesEnsure protection of assets and proper handling of sensitive data according to high standards Key requirementsSeven or more years of experience in health, safety, or compliance programs, activities, or systemsExperience leading Management of ChangeExperience implementing a Safety Management SystemExperience working for the utility industryExperience presenting recommendations to all levels of the organizationPreferred: Certification in Risk ManagementPreferred: Experience supporting and implementing safety initiativesStrong communication to all organization levelsCollaborative and cross-functional team workTraining and presentation skillsManagement of Change (MoC)Safety Management System (SMS)Risk management
