We take pride in fostering a safe environment for all employees.We are currently seeking an experienced 2nd shift Smithe Envelope Operator for our growing Bindery Department.Summary : The Envelope Operator is responsible for the setup, adjustment, and safe operation of the envelope machine (i.e. - F.L. Smithe Champion Envelope Convertor) to produce quality finished products that meet customer and company specifications and quality standards. Schedule : 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, eight or more hours per day, five or more days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, Monday – Friday, or similar. This is an on-site position requiring the employee to be present physically. Thank you for your understanding.E ssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Access the batching system to view batch lists and identify priority jobs to be completedReview job tickets and plan work processes to meet customer specifications for custom jobsEnsure machines are ready and set specifications to run products as requiredQuality control of completed jobs, providing updates on job status and schedule to the supervisorMake adjustments as needed to maintain specifications and timely flow of materialsMonitor assigned machine during run to ensure machines are maintaining the proper requirementsUnload machine and stack materials on palletsEnsure jobs are meeting quality and quantity requirementsTroubleshoot machine problems, resolve if possible, notifying Floor SupervisorMaintain proper machine maintenance and lubricationRemove waste items for recyclingComplete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and is free of safety hazardsReport all injuries, illnesses, and near misses to management immediatelyAdhere to all safety rules and regulations as set forth by 4overComplete and maintain required records and paperwork, as neededPerform regular housekeeping duties in assigned and surrounding areasAttend all department/ company meetings, as neededPerform other assigned dutiesWear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when requiredFor an extensive list of responsibilities, duties and physical demands/work environment please refer to the attached Job Description.QualificationsSix-months to one-year related experience utilizing an envelope machine (i.e. - F.L. Smithe Champion Envelope Convertor)Six-months to one year experience troubleshooting and utilizing mechanical inclination to determine machinery needsPreferredHigh School Diploma or GED equivalency4over Company History:4over was founded in February of 2001.
