This role is responsible for leading field operations on complex industrial construction projects across the United States, including manufacturing and mission-critical facilities.Oversee day-to-day jobsite operations, coordinate trade partners, maintain project schedules, enforce safety and quality standards, and drive successful project execution from mobilization through closeout. The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with industrial construction experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to proactively solve problems in fast-paced project environments.This is a full-time travel role supporting projects nationwide.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct supervision of field labor and oversee trade partner activities to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents and quality standards.Hold trade partners accountable for safety, scope, quality, and schedule compliance; minimize trade conflicts and idle time.Coordinate and schedule material, equipment, and delivery logistics to support uninterrupted field operations.Assist the Lead Superintendent as needed and manage multiple smaller projects or defined phases of larger projects.Develop and maintain site logistics plans, job flow, sequencing, and short-term look-ahead schedules (2–4 weeks).Track daily progress against baseline schedules, identify delays, and communicate schedule impacts to the project team.Promote and maintain a strong safety culture; lead safety meetings and enforce safety standards.Enforce quality control through daily supervision, inspections, plan review, and coordination of required testing and inspections.Communicate clearly and professionally with trade partners, project teams, and owners; lead coordination meetings and provide regular field updates.Support cost awareness by tracking labor headcounts and hours, reporting delivery issues or delays, and identifying inefficiencies that may impact cost.Partner with the Project Manager to flag scope changes, support change order documentation, identify value engineering opportunities, and help preserve or improve project fee and margin.Provide mentorship and guidance to Field Managers, General Foremen, and crews; support training, onboarding, and team development.Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite. RequirementsCompletion of an apprenticeship program, Construction Management degree, or equivalent field experience.4–10+ years of commercial construction field experience with increasing levels of responsibility.Proven ability to supervise field labor and manage trade partners across multiple scopes or project areas.Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, building techniques, and constructability.Working knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.Basic to intermediate understanding of construction scheduling, including milestone tracking and look-ahead planning.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote, Teams) and construction management software.Knowledge of building codes, site layout, quality control processes, and safety regulations.Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.Demonstrated ability to mentor field staff, lead teams, and maintain a positive jobsite culture.Strong problem-solving skills with an understanding of how field decisions impact schedule, cost, and overall project success.Interested in hearing more?
