Groundskeeper

Position Summary: The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the campus grounds and athletic fields. Will assist in the daily operations pertaining to the overall care of the campus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Mow the lawn Mulch landscape beds Maintain synthetic turf fields Snow removal Prep athletic fields for practice and games Plant shrubs/perennials/prune trees Removal of trash on grounds/trash cans Some custodial cleaning of restrooms/locker rooms Perform other duties as needed Skills and Other Required Competencies: Time management Ability to operate different types of equipment Plant installation and care Service equipment as needed Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments Ability to lift 50 lbs. Excellent attendance Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Education, Experience, and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience preferred On-the-job training offered A valid driver’s license Experience with applying fertilizer Experience applying pre-emergent herbicides Commercial Applicator license preferred
