Project Engineer - Commercial Construction (Tenant Improvements/TI)Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support commercial construction and renovation projects, with a focus on tenant improvements (TI). The Project Engineer will collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role requires hands-on field coordination, strong technical skills, and experience managing TI work in commercial settings.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport project managers in planning and executing commercial construction and renovation projects, including tenant improvements (TI).Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents; prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, ASIs, and revision logs.Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to ensure work sequence, quality, and compliance with schedules.Monitor and update project schedules, track milestones, and communicate changes to the team and stakeholders.Assist with cost tracking, prepare and review change order documentation, and support budget control efforts.Conduct regular site inspections, quality control checks, and punch-list inspections to ensure work meets contract requirements and industry standards.Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, meeting minutes, safety logs, and as-built records using project management software.Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, safety regulations, and company policies on all commercial renovation and TI projects.Facilitate client and design team communications during construction to resolve technical issues and maintain client satisfaction.Support commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities, including warranty documentation and final inspections.QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role in commercial construction, commercial renovations, or tenant improvements (TI).Demonstrated experience managing TI projects and tenant fit-outs in office, retail, or multifamily commercial environments.Proficient with construction documents, submittal/RFI workflows, change order processes, and field coordination.Experience with construction management and collaboration software (Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid) and proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills; able to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Ability to perform regular site visits and travel between job sites; valid drivers license required.OSHA 10 (or 30) safety certification preferred; professional licenses or certifications (PE, CCM, LEED) are a plus.BenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays401(k) with company matchProfessional development and career growth opportunitiesCollaborative and team-oriented work environment Email Your Resume In Word ToJason.Styczen@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
