Commercial Portfolio Manager

Under general direction, this position’s primary responsibilities include all aspects of portfolio management as relates to assigned portfolio loans together with the cross selling of Bank products and services. Additional responsibilities will include the facilitating of comprehensive credit analysis that evaluates the existing facilities in the portfolio. The loan portfolio shall consist of all types of commercial loans including but not limited to lines of credit, term notes, permanent owner occupied mortgages, and/ or commercial construction.Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the commercial loan originating function; assist with loan application processing tasks, e.g., obtain required information; compiling data; coordinating the procurement of require documents; verifying credit information; notifying sales personnel of credit information deficiencies; performing credit analysis; may approve commercial loans within established lending authority.QUALIFICATIONS:College degree with a major in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience. Three or more years’ experience in a credit underwriting environment is desired.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Performs portfolio management responsibilities including:Facilitates the preparation of credit underwriting and analysis of existing loans in connection with renewals and modifications. Assist in facilitating closing of transactions.Assist lenders in managing past due and maturing loans.Recommends and models appropriate loan structure for new and existing loan relationships.Receive and review periodic reporting provided by customers to ensure borrowing base availability, as well as, to monitor performance.Assists in the preparation of PLAP reports for the portfolio, when necessary.Solicits existing portfolio customers in an effort to increase and retain volume and cross sell Bank products and services. Promote customer relations.Actively participates in research, preparation and execution of customer calls.Performs relationship management responsibilities on own portfolio of accounts including:Portfolio management duties listed above as well as transaction negotiations for renewals, modifications, and new facilities for customers in his/her portfolio.Diligently attend to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks; check work for accuracy and completeness; respond to requests for service in a timely and efficient manner; prioritize customer needs and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.Write and speak effectively, use conventions proper to the situation; state opinions clearly and concisely; ask questions to ensure understanding; exercise a professional approach with others using all appropriate tools of communication; use consideration and tact when offering opinions.Plan and complete tasks without detailed instructions; respond to situations as they arise with minimal supervision; maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines; regularly produce accurate, thorough and professional work.Complete detailed processes and adhere to regulations and documented procedures in a high risk environment; ensure accuracy of documentation and data.Manage multiple projects; able to determine project urgency in a practical way; use goals to guide actions; organize and schedule people and tasks effectively.
