We have also created permanent and temporary interactive installations for world class venues including the Staples Center and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.Our strength lies in the broad range of techniques and custom special effects solutions we use to create first class spectaculars including laser effects, video projection and mapping, pyrotechnics, architectural lighting installs, custom constructed sets and bespoke engineered special effect solutions for live events and permanent applications.The Controls System Engineer is a hands-on design position engaged in PLC design/ programming and sustaining of products designed by our in-house creative team as custom solutions for our clients. As part of a cross-functional team, this person has the responsibility of designing, implementing, testing of PLC or circuitry design as well as consulting on firmware design and mechanical design interface.Primary Responsibilities:Experience in PLC and industrial control panel system design and programmingPreferred experience with Beckhoff, Siemens, Allen Brady PLC hardware and softwareUtilize engineering CAD software including Altium, Solidworks Electrical, and AutodeskTroubleshoot PLCs and PCBs to the Component LevelCreate embedded software programming in C/C++Create PLC programs in Ladder Diagram, Structured Text, and Function BLock DiagramPLC and ICP assembly as necessaryPrepare correct first-time designs for manufacturing, Installation and commissioningInterface with the Research and Development team to refine designs and optimize for manufacturingDesign and produce detailed schematics, manufacturing drawings, cable schedules, wiring lists, parts lists, test sheetsProduce and maintain detailed Bill of Materials and assembly drawings and consult with Assembly Engineers to ensure understanding of projectContinually research new products that meet the technical requirements and design needs of current or upcoming projectsBuild and maintain relationships with external suppliers, advise on end of life and manufacturer trendsInterface with compliance to provide all necessary documentation to obtain 3rd part certificationsRequirementsBachelor of Science in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 3-years work experience in a relevant electrical engineering positionAble to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team in fast-paced environment on projects with short life cyclesHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyAble to pass background checkBenefits Include:Health, Dental, & Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Holidays / 2x hourly pay rate if working on holidayOvertime pay (1.5x) when working over 40 hours per weekJohn Hancock 401(k) Retirement PlanCompany-Paid Life InsuranceAflac Supplemental InsuranceDependent Care ProgramTravel Reward Points (hotel, airline, car rental)Employee Referral BonusesCompany perks, including regular in-office treats and social events...and more!Salary Description
