DevOps & Application Systems Analyst (GitLab/Sonar)

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their DevOps & Application Systems Analyst (GitLab/Sonar) position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY (4 days onsite). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C.Position Overview:Provides designs, specifies information systems solutions, and delivers highly technical direction in the development of new or existing applications to solve basic to complex problems or enhancements. Serves as a principal application designer for major modifications, leveraging analytical and technical skills to evaluate client requirements and processes. Provides technologically sound solutions and may support day-to-day operations, special projects, and mentor less experienced team members.What You'll Be Doing:Complete and oversee systems analysis, design, and development activities across complex projectsServe as a key individual contributor on high-impact initiativesMaintain strong functional understanding of supported applicationsCoordinate development tasks and guide less experienced team membersPrepare and manage technical project plans and documentationParticipate in full SDLC activities from technical analysis through user acceptance testingDevelop and execute test plans, including debugging and validationAnalyze complex system integrations and provide technical consultingCreate and maintain detailed technical and functional documentationEvaluate new technologies and recommend process improvementsEnsure adherence to development standards, policies, and proceduresSupport business units by aligning technology solutions with strategic goalsGitLab Administration:Setup and manage groups/subgroups aligned to organizational structureCoordinate and analyze project/pipeline migrationsExecute migration of projects, including AD permissions and group variablesUpdate branch rules to align with new conventionsSupport application teams with protected environmentsImplement unit testing and Sonar jobs within merge request approvalsSonar Administration:Configure applications and portfolios aligned to organizational structureMigrate projects into Sonar applicationsDevelop reporting for applications and portfoliosWhat You'll Need to Have:5+ years of systems analysis and/or application development experienceExperience designing and supporting complex application systemsStrong understanding of SDLC methodologiesExperience with GitLab administration and CI/CD pipelinesHands-on experience with Sonar (SonarQube or similar tools)Ability to manage migrations, permissions, and environment configurationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with testing, debugging, and validation processesStrong communication and stakeholder collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyPreferred:Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience)Experience working with enterprise application frameworksBackground in financial services or regulated environmentsExperience leading technical initiatives or mentoring team membersPay Range: $55 - $60/hrQuestions about any of our jobs?
