We provide premium systems, services, and products for the Department of Defense, government agencies and commercial clients.Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to become an integral member of the engineering team in the Sonar and Electronic Warfare business area.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign and analyze components and electro-mechanical assembliesPerform thermal, structural and dynamic analyses on complex 3D modelsCreate and maintain mechanical solid models and drawingsCreate and manage bills of material (BOM) within data management systemDevelop fixtures and equipment to support testing and production effortsGenerate design and interface documentationPerform product design, studies, development and testing on new and modified designsDevelop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customerParticipate in various technical and program meetings as neededWhat sets you apart:Strong proficiency with Creo or SolidWorks modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawingsExtensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standardsExperience with ruggedized electronics packaging for shipboard applications a plusExperience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) a plusCollaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projectsStrong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposalsCommitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and othersWorkplace Options: This position is fully on-site.
