Ophthalmologist (New Graduates Accepted) - Bilingual in Chinese & English Location:New York, NY Job Type:Full-time Shift:Day shift Setting:Outpatient / Clinical Practice Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ophthalmologist fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) and English to provide comprehensive eye care services to a diverse patient population. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of ocular conditions while delivering culturally sensitive, patient-centered care. Roles and Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose ocular diseases and disordersProvide medical and surgical treatment for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathyPrescribe medications, corrective lenses, and individualized treatment plansConduct pre-operative and post-operative evaluations for ophthalmic proceduresUtilize advanced diagnostic tools and imaging technologiesEducate patients and families on eye health, treatment options, and preventive careMaintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standardsCollaborate with optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionalsCommunicate clearly and effectively with patients in both Chinese and EnglishAdhere to ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and healthcare regulationsRequirements: Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institutionCompleted residency training in OphthalmologyValid and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensureBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology (preferred)Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) and English (spoken and written)Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience working with multicultural patient populations preferredSubspecialty training (Retina, Glaucoma, Cornea, Pediatric Ophthalmology) is a plusFamiliarity with EMR/EHR systemsBenefits: Health insurance and retirement benefitsPaid time off (PTO)Continuing Medical Education (CME) supportMalpractice insurance coverageFlexible schedulingRelocation assistance and visa sponsorship (H1B available for eligible candidates)
