This position plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient public transportation services. Senior Transit Operators are responsible for the daily operation and basic maintenance of Town transit vehicles, with a strong focus on safety, schedule adherence, and exceptional customer service. Further, incumbents are required to notify the Town, their supervisors and/or manager of any motor vehicle violation (except parking citations) at the time of issuance (immediately upon receipt of the ticket/violation, or upon the next working shift). This requirement exists, regardless of whether the incumbent plans to challenge the violation in court.Additional InformationHiring Pay Range: $27.50 - 33.06 per hour, $57,200 - $68,764.80 if annualizedFull Pay Range: $27.50 - $38.62 per hour, $57,200 - $80,329.60 if annualizedWORK SCHEDULEFull-Time: 40 hours per week, year-round. Occasional overtime possible, dependent on organizational needs. Must be able to work shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed or scheduled at the discretion of Management.This position is 'Open Until Filled'.
