Contract – Sr. Project Engineer

Sr. Plant Project EngineerOur client – a growing food company with multiple plants in the US needs a Sr. Plant Project Engineer for a long-term contract at their plant site in Traverse City, MI. Excellent hourly pay rate with an option to be extended more than 12 months. We will also consider candidates on C2C basis from partner companies.Job Title: Contract – Sr. Project EngineerOvernight Travel: 10%Expenses: All personal relocation, travel and living expenses will be included in the pay rate: All-inclusive hourly pay rate of $70 - $80 (Paid weekly – via direct deposit)Duration: Initially for 12 months, with an option to extend based on candidate performance + client needs.Company Info: Our client is a premier food company with famous consumer brands in market for 75+ years. They have 1,600+ people at Corporate and multiple plants in the US.Group Info: Be part of a growing Corporate Engineering Group supporting 4 plants. This role will be based at their large plant in Traverse City, MI with occasional travel to other plants. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Engineering & EHS.Job Summary: Manage projects for plant upgrades and expansions worth $50K to $4 Million. The projects will be for Process, Manufacturing, Packaging systems (70%) + Utilities / Facilities (30%)This engineer will support the Operations group and work in cross functional teams from Engineering, quality, maintenance production, etc. This is a hands-on engineer role. The right person will be an all-rounder.Note 1: The right person will need to have Food industry experience.Note 2: We will also consider candidates on C2C basis from partner companies.Candidate Must Have:BS in Engineering or a Technical fieldMin 10+ years of engineering experience5+ years of Project Engineering/Management experience in the Food plants.Some experience with FDA, OSHA, EPA, regulations and compliance.Ability to work in a fast-paced plant environment.Candidate Nice to Have:Knowledge of high-speed food processing & packagingKnowledge of high-volume refrigeration systems used for industrial freezersProject Management Professional - PMP certifiedKeywords: engineer, project, plant, project engineer, project manager, Sr., FDA, Food, PE, refrigeration
