REEVES | Roller Operator (Grade Crew) - Columbia, SCReeves Construction Company is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Roller Operator based out of Columbia, SC. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively run a roller for the compaction of asphalt and/or dirt and other materials for road and commercial construction. Asphalt Roller Operators are also expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:Must have a basic knowledge of the mechanics and hydraulics of the machine.Must have skills to conduct an inspection checklist on equipment such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water.Must keep equipment clean, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping.Must have an understanding of control levers for movement of the machine.Must have a priority for safety and welfare of workers around the machine.Must have the ability to operate the vehicle safely in job site situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.Qualifications, Education, and Experience:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
