Gastroenterologist - Tucson VA Medical Center!Location: Tucson, ArizonaPosition Information:The Tucson VA Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to focus on comprehensive patient care, including the opportunity to be a part of the faculty of The University of Arizona Medical School. The practice structure includes a collaborative team environment consisting of physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff who work together to provide excellent care to our Veterans. Proficiency in standard endoscopy procedures is expected. There is an opportunity to perform advanced endoscopy procedures if it fits the candidate's interests and expertise.Excellent facilities and equipment are in place. Our GI service provides some remote care through telehealth and video visits; medical subspecialists are not required to travel to our affiliated clinics.There are numerous opportunities for clinical research and collaboration in research projects. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with minimal on-call responsibilities, allowing you ample time for personal and family commitments. On-call duties are shared equitably among the team, ensuring a manageable workload and minimizing the risk of burnout.Compensation TransparencyWe believe in building trust through transparency. The compensation package for this role ranges from $325,000 to $375,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
