Operations Manager

I'm currently partnering with a well-established, highly specialized manufacturer supporting aerospace, defense, and high-reliability industries. This organization is known for its complex electro-mechanical products and strong growth within a larger, well-backed parent company.We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, drive performance improvements, and support long-term scalability across production.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations across manufacturing, production, and shop floor activitiesDrive improvements in throughput, on-time delivery, and overall operational efficiencyOwn and drive EBITDA performance by managing cost, productivity, and operational efficiencyPartner closely with engineering, supply chain, and quality to ensure smooth production flowLead and develop supervisors, technicians, and production staffImplement and maintain Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement initiativesManage production planning, scheduling, and resource allocationMonitor KPIs (OEE, scrap, yield, labor efficiency, etc.) and drive corrective actionsEnsure compliance with quality standards (AS9100 / ISO) and regulatory requirementsSupport new product introduction (NPI) and transition into productionIdentify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions for growthQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations leadershipExperience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferredStrong understanding of electro-mechanical or high-reliability productsProven leadership experience managing production teamsExperience driving cost reduction and EBITDA improvementsHands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement toolsFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systemsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsWhat They're Looking ForA hands-on leader who can be on the floor driving resultsSomeone who can balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day executionExperience working in high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environmentsAbility to build structure, improve processes, and scale operationsStrong business acumen with a focus on profitability and EBITDA performanceWhy This Role?Strong growth and long-term career progression within a larger organizationExposure to complex, cutting-edge products in aerospace/defenseOpportunity to directly impact both operations and financial performance (EBITDA)Competitive compensation + bonus structure
