As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you'll be a key point of contact, compassionately guiding patients through their medical bills and enabling our clients to focus on exceptional patient care.Title: Medical Customer Service RepresentativeInterviews & Start Date: Interviewing now through 4/8/26 for 4/20/26 start dateSchedule: Monday Friday, Available shifts are:9am - 6pm10am - 7pmLocation: Onsite - 4135 S Stream Blvd Ste 400, Charlotte, NC 28217Paid Training: 3-4 weeks (depending on work assignment)Compensation: $17 - $19 per hour + tier performance incentives + $2/hr Shift Differential for applicable hours after 4pmKey Responsibilities:Helping patients understand financial responsibility in a helpful and non-threatening mannerTaking inbound and making outbound calls to patients regarding outstanding balancesMeeting or exceeding established metric goalsFollowing established procedures to resolve patient account balances:Identifying consumer payment plansUtilizing call scripts providedSetting up consumer payments over the phoneDocumenting all conversations electronically on company and/or client systemsAssisting patients in determining eligibility for financial assistance programs and/or bank loans when applicableProviding information to Client Services as neededUnderstanding and fully complying with all federal and state laws and regulations (HIPPA, Medicare Fraud, Waste and Abuse, etc.) regarding collections policies and proceduresSkills & Competencies:CompassionCommunicationProblem-solvingTeamworkTime management and sound decision-making skillsRequired Qualifications:1 year of previous call center experience (In-office or Remote)High School Diploma/GEDProficiency with PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance and FDCPAExperience with medical billing/claims processingExperience providing excellent customer service in a variety of situations, including those that escalateEmployment eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
