Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The environment is highly collaborative, fast-moving and engineering-focused, with a small onsite team that works closely across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and quality disciplines.This is not a narrowly scoped CAD role. The position requires someone who enjoys balancing industrial design thinking, detailed mechanical engineering, manufacturability and real-world production support.What You’ll Be DoingDesign and develop mechanical systems, assemblies and product enclosures for new and existing productsCreate customer-facing product packaging and external enclosure designs while also engineering the internal mechanical components and assembliesDevelop molded plastic parts, cast components, machined parts and stamped metal componentsSupport products throughout the full product lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, manufacturing release and sustaining engineeringPartner closely with electrical engineering teams to integrate electronic assemblies and board layouts into mechanical designsParticipate in production support activities, troubleshooting and manufacturing problem resolutionLead and execute engineering change activities including ECNs, deviations and configuration managementAssess design changes for manufacturability, quality, regulatory and risk impactsSupport design reviews, prototype builds and first article activitiesWork directly with suppliers, manufacturing teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful product introductionContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and change management processesSupport thermal considerations and enclosure integration for electronic assembliesWhat They’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experienceApproximately 5+ years of hands-on mechanical product development experienceStrong experience designing:Plastic molded componentsCast and machined partsElectronic enclosures and assembliesPrecision mechanical systemsExperience working in fast-paced product development environments where engineers wear multiple hatsStrong CAD experience, preferably SolidWorksExperience supporting products through manufacturing release and productionAbility to work cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, electrical engineering and supply chain teamsStrong communication skills and collaborative mindsetComfortable working onsite in a highly interactive engineering environmentStrong attention to detail, ownership and follow-throughHighly Preferred ExperienceMedical device or other regulated product development experienceExperience with:Risk managementDesign FMEA / Process FMEAECNs and change controlISO 13485, ISO 14971 or similar quality systemsExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)Background working with electronic packaging or thermal considerationsExperience balancing product usability, aesthetics and manufacturabilityWork EnvironmentFully onsite roleSmall, collaborative engineering teamHigh visibility and direct interaction with engineering leadershipFast-paced product development environment with significant variety in day-to-day work
