Quality & Qualification Engineer

This is a growing advanced manufacturing business working on additively manufactured hardware for space and aerospace applications.The company is moving AM beyond development and into qualified, production ready parts. That means the role is not just about maintaining a QMS or processing NCRs. The real focus is helping prove that AM components are repeatable, traceable, inspectable and ready for customer approval.It would suit someone who wants to stay close to the hardware, work directly with engineering and production teams, and play a key role in building the quality evidence needed to get complex AM parts into real aerospace use.Responsibilities:Build quality documentation for AM parts, including inspection plans, FAIRs, quality packs, NCRs, concessions, CAPAs and traceability records.Support process qualification, first article inspection and customer approval activity for space and aerospace hardware.Work with engineering and production teams to define the evidence needed to prove repeatability from build to build.Support inspection, metrology, NDT, material certification and final release activity.Investigate quality issues, identify root cause, and drive practical containment and corrective actions.Experience required:Quality engineering experience in aerospace, space, defence or another high reliability manufacturing environment.Exposure to AS9100, FAIRs, PPAP/APQP, NADCAP, FAA/EASA requirements or similar regulated quality frameworks.Experience supporting qualification, production release, inspection planning, NCRs, concessions, CAPAs and customer quality documentation.Experience with additive manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, precision machining, castings, forgings, composites or complex metallic components.Understanding of AM quality controls such as powder traceability, build records, machine logs, parameter control, post processing validation and part genealogy.
