Leaders in nearly 18,000 locations nationwide trust CENTEGIX's innovative safety solutions to empower and protect people (every day).PurposeThe Staff Accountant plays an important role in supporting the daily operations and monthly close activities of the accounting function. This individual will work closely with the Assistant Controller and broader Finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support the company's continued growth.This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting while gaining exposure to financial operations within a high-growth technology company.Position Responsibilities• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger including accruals, prepaids, asset capitalization, and amortization• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances or unusual activity• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes• Review financial data to identify discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve issues• Support the management of fixed assets, including asset capitalization and depreciation tracking• Assist with audit preparation and provide support for interim and year-end external audits• Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure documentation supports internal controls and compliance requirements• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency• Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting needs• Participate in ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as neededRequirements• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles including general ledger, accruals, and reconciliations• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace tools• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment• Curiosity, problem-solving ability, and a desire to learn and grow within the accounting profession• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members across the organizationWhat's in it for you?Remote first work environment; we offer workplace flexibilityParticipation in company wide discretionary bonusFifteen days of PTO plus twelve company holidaysThree days of paid Sick Leave and one floating holidayMonthly device(s) reimbursementUp to $2500/year reimbursement for eligible education expensesWe offer a range of Healthcare plans to meet your needs (medical, dental, vision)401(k) Plan with 4% employer contribution to help you plan for the futureEmployee Referral BonusCharitable Program Match
