In addition, you will learn and rotate between multiple positions to develop cross-functional skills and support operational needs across the department.Shift Schedule:* Monday - Wednesday, 5:42pm-6:12am* All overtime is scheduled per the UFCW ContractWhat Does It Take to be a Production Machine Operator II at Dawn Foods?Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reportsAbility to communicate effectively with fellow team membersAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measureAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formAbility to deal with problem-solving in variable situationsMust be able to work well with others or independentlyForklift certified is helpful, and must be able to become certifiedComputer skills helpfulPreferred: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)What You'll Do as a Production Machine Operator IIAssure all products produced meet the product specifications, food safety, and regulatory requirementsLearn and rotate between multiple positions to build cross-functional knowledge, support operational flexibility, and develop a broader understanding of department processesEstablish high-performance standards in housekeeping, in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), American Institute of Baking (AIB), International Food Standard (IFS), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirementsResponsible for the accurate operation of computer systems as required in production processesOperate auxiliary equipment as needed for each respective functionOperate in a safe manner according to manual, training, and batch card instructions to ensure high-quality and food-safe productResponsible for all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SSOP's) and GMPs, including pre-start check lists, scale checks, forklift check lists, code dates on labels, lot numbers on formulas, batch verification counts, etc.Responsible for communicating to lead or supervisor any quality, safety, scheduling, and food safety issues within their department or the plantResponsible for maintaining the workstation and keeping it clean and organizedPerform all the above tasks in a safe manner by following the company's GMPs, SOPs, and safety regulationsAssist in training new team membersAdhere to the Food Defense and Security functions within the facilityFollow the guidelines as printed in the description of duties for the functionPerform all functions of the rolePerform other duties as assignedDemonstrate the "Dawn Values" of Team Dawn and supports the Circle of ExcellenceWork EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this jobReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to grasp, move, or utilize objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hearThe team member is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlThe team member is occasionally required to use sensory perception for quality measurement of productsThe team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 25 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focusNote: The level of physical effort may vary from site to site and in some cases be greater or lesser than documented here.If this sounds like the opportunity that you have been looking for, please click "Apply."#LI-Onsite #LI-AH1_An Equal Opportunity Employer.
