The department is composed of recognized subject matter experts, who are proficient in a suite of acquisition-related skills including: acquisition strategy and planning, contract strategy development, source selection planning and support, and acquisition program management. The Acquisition Strategy and Management department provides support across a wide range of MITRE portfolios, employing ~ 50 highly qualified and experienced staff.Roles & Responsibilities:Project coordination for MITRE projectsLead the development of comprehensive acquisition strategies and plans for large-scale, complex systems.Conduct market research, performing alternatives analysis, and defining/refining requirements that align with Sponsor mission goals and objectives. Solicitation and source selection supportAdvise on advance planning for successful post-award contract administration, including performance monitoring, incentive structures, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure vendors deliver on their contractual commitments. Architect and execute non-traditional and innovative acquisition pathways, such as Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs), Middle Tier of Acquisition (Section 804), and Commercial Solutions Openings (CSOs), to speed up the "speed of relevance."Basic Qualifications:Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Basic knowledge of acquisition tools and processes as would be evident by completion of a related course from the Defense Acquisition University (DAU).Experience in the application of AI toolsSpecific experience in one or more acquisition domain (e.g., source selection, acquisition strategy, acquisition planning)This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-sitePer the U.S. Government’s eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S Citizen to be considered for a security clearance.Preferred Qualifications: Specific acquisition management experienceKnowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)Possession of a current or previous Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II, or Federal Acquisition Certification (FAC) for Contracting (FAC-C), Contracting Officers Representative (FAC-COR), or executive level certification from the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) such as Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM)Task leadership or other supervisory experienceThis requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):NoneThis requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):SecretSalary compensation range and midpoint:$113,600 - $142,000 - $170,400 AnnualWork Location Type:HybridIt is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
