CLIENT HIGHLIGHT The Client you will be working for is a Fortune 100 Oil and Gas Company. This opportunity will give you experience in the energy sector in the United States with a company that is a globally recognized leader in energy production and one of the biggest companies in the US. LOCATION Richmond, CA COMPENSATION $34-40/hr SCHEDULE Flexibility to work a day Shift (5:30a-3:00p) and a Swing Shift (12:00p-9:30p) required. Work schedule is 40 hours/week (Monday - Friday). Occasional overtime/weekend work required. CONTRACT TERM 11 months with high likelihood of extension or conversion to full time employee. POSITION OVERVIEW – Lubricant Oil Blender This role will be part of a team focused on creating and supporting a "safety first" environment while working together to deliver accurate, timely blending services for LOB customers. RESPONSIBILITIES Key functions for a Lubricant Oil Blender include blending additive packages and finished lubricants for passenger car, heavy-duty, railroad, natural gas, and specialty applications that will be used in lab bench testing, field tests, and engine approval programs. Blend size ranges from small 100g to large 50 drum quantities and are assembled using detailed procedures in an industrial lab environment. In addition to blending, This position will include formulation adjustment to meet targeted specifications, running limited analysis such as kinematic viscosity and cold crank simulators, managing inventory, processing samples, and maintaining a clean & safe laboratory. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: 1-2 years of work experience within a light industrial and/or laboratory environment Ability to perform detail oriented and error free work, precision weighing and measuring. Ability to multitask, working in a fast-paced, high throughput environment Ability to communicate effectively (clear, concise, accurate) both orally and in writing Teamwork/Interpersonal Skills - The ability to work effectively and cooperatively within close team environment to meet business goals and initiatives Strong analytical & problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot equipment, recognize problems, evaluate options and generate solutions Proficient computer skills required Valid driver's license required This position requires the use of a forklift (training and certification provided upon hire) Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical and functional capacity examination. This is a safety sensitive position Local candidates required only The position has daily physical requirements; ability to move 55-gallon drums weighing up to 500 pounds with the aid of mechanical devices, and ability to lift and carry 5-gallon containers weighing up to 50 pounds. High School Diploma PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience highly desired: Bachelor Degree in Chemistry Process Technology or ROP Industrial Maintenance Mechanic certified Previous laboratory, industrial processing, refinery experience Material inventory management Customer facing communication Forklift certification
